About this frame shelf
One page, 22 decorative frames, and nothing else. It exists because the ornamental edge of a picture is a genuinely different job from the measured space around one, and the two get built into the same tool far too often.
What it is
PictureBorder draws a decorative band onto the outer edge of a photograph and gives you the file back. Scallops, deckles, tears, glows, shadows, stripes and checks — the kinds of edge you would recognise from a card, a scrapbook page or a party invitation. You choose one off a shelf, set how wide it is and what colour it is, and save.
It runs entirely in the browser tab you have open. There is no account, no queue and no server holding your picture while it waits its turn, because there is no server at all behind this page — it is a set of static files, and the drawing happens on your own machine.
What it deliberately does not do
There is no field for a width in pixels, millimetres or inches, no per-side control and no resolution box. A band here is a proportion of the picture's short edge, and that is the only way it can be given. Measured space around a photograph is a different product with different questions behind it, and building both into one page would have meant doing neither well.
Nor does it put text under a frame, place a sticker on a picture, rebuild the photograph with an effect, or lay several pictures out together. Each of those is somebody's whole job. This one is the edge, and only the edge.

It does not claim a frame improves a photograph. It changes how a picture is presented, which is worth something, and a wide ornate band on a crowded image makes it harder to read, which is worth saying.
How it is meant to be paid for
Advertising, eventually. AdSense has not reviewed this domain, so the switch that draws a unit is off and there is nothing to see today: no advertisement, no label, and no band of reserved space waiting for one. Holding a 280-pixel gap open for something that cannot arrive is worse than the advertisement would have been, so nothing renders at all.
Where the units go has already been settled, and turning the switch on puts them there without rearranging anything: under the working surface and at the breaks in the guides. None above the tool, none inside the shelf, and none between the colour slots and the save button — that strip is one continuous decision and an advertisement in the middle of it would be a toll gate. Each will hold its height from before it loads, so the page will not jump when one fills.
Visits are not being counted either. There is no measurement token in this build, so no analytics script is loaded and no visit is recorded. What is planned is cookie-free and would see a page address and a referrer; it could not see a photograph under any configuration, because a photograph never leaves the tab. Who makes it
It is built and maintained by the same small team behind PictureEditor, whose line sits at the foot of every page. The frames are generated from records rather than drawn as images, so if one of them is wrong the fix is arithmetic rather than redrawing a file — which is the main reason the library can be extended without the site getting heavier.
